For some reason my department has been slow to update my web profile. They need to understand that a faculty webpage is just like an Internet dating web-ad: people are really disappointed when they arrive and meet you for the first time and then are not presented with what they thought they were getting. I think this photo, therefore, is the most honest of any ever captured of yours truly. It's a window into my dark, tortured, gothic soul.
